Insurance
As an entrepreneur, you are accountable not only to your client but also to yourself. Liability or legal expenses insurance is often considered, but what happens if something happens to you personally and you can no longer work? It’s advisable to thoroughly identify all the risks. We’re happy to discuss everything with you: what you already have and what you might consider. This way, you can be sure you’re neither under-insured nor over-insured.
Pension Plans
Accruing a pension is not a certainty for an entrepreneur. You’ll have to arrange something yourself that you and any surviving dependents can enjoy later.
With a few minor exceptions, everyone is entitled to an AOW (state pension) benefit upon reaching retirement age. However, that amount will likely be considerably lower than what you’ve become accustomed to through your business. It’s also wise to consider whether your surviving dependents will be able to continue paying the costs if you were to die unexpectedly. These aren’t easy questions to grapple with. Shall we explore together how we can make this fit together?
